  • My wife and I met with you in early June at the East Vancouver Miller Paint store to discuss exterior paint for our home. You may recall that we brought in a picture of our Craftsman style home along with a picture of a home with the colors that we were interested in on our iPad. You had asked that we send you pictures once the job was complete so here they are. The picture does not give justice to home nice the colors truly are.

The colors that you suggested and we used were Smokey Quartz for the body, Bad Hair Day for the trim including the front beams and porch railing and Champagne for the trim around the windows. You suggested that we use a BM paint in Abby Brown but we opted to go with a sample that you pulled front the store called Monterey Chestnut (a very slightly redder tone). We were deliberating with leaving the front door alone to match the undersides of the front porch that are a clear stained Fir (cannot be seen in picture) but finally decided to paint the door for a richer look. We used Cabots Siding and Deck stain in Oak Brown for the deck (Semi-solid) and wood garage door (Semi-transparent).

Thank you for your recommendations and the house looks great! We have received many compliments.

  • Working with Patti Marvitz from Walls to Windows has been one of the best decisions I've made for my home. In the past I've made some poor color choices, but now with Patti's help I know the color choice will be perfect. She's saved me a lot of time and money by getting it right the first time.

  • During the remodel of my kitchen, there were times when I felt as if I were settling with regards to the selection of materials.  I would choose a certain item and Patti would advise against it.  I would feel disheartened.  I wisely listened to Patti's advice. When the remodel was completed, it was everything I had hoped for.  Thank you Patti for all your help and guidance." Image of kitchen cabinets by Patti Marvitz

  • Not only did Patti do a fabulous job of remodeling my home, she made it easy and as stress free as possible.  Patti demonstrated impressive knowledge and skills combined with incomparable professionalism.  Her patience with me when decisions were difficult was greatly appreciated.  Thanks to Patti, mine is literally a new home and I couldn’t be more pleased with the final result. Being satisfied doesn’t begin to explain how much the changes she accomplished mean to me.  I will recommend “Walls too Windows” to everyone." Image of kitchen by Patti Marvitz

  • 'I've been working with Interior Designer Patti Marvitz of Walls too Windows out of Brush Prairie WA over the past year to redo and update my house interior after 19 years. I found Patti's card at the local Miller Paint store as the "Ask A Designer" consultant on NE 164th Avenue in Vancouver.  I called her and made an appointment.  After discussing my design style preferences and what I envisioned, we each agreed that the design had to be simple and clean. My backyard has an asian flavor and Patti suggested that the inside design had to marry the outside design.  She has designed an oasis inside the house that has a very simple asian flavor, with uncluttered and clean lines. We worked our way through each room so the house has a coordinated design style.  Her subcontractors are very nice and provide excellent workmanship.  Patti has a sense of humor, enjoys her work, clients and subcontractors, is very professional, is proactive and keeps things moving, and is very organized in her paper work, orders and scheduling.  She is very responsive to e-mails and phone calls.  She offers 2 - 3 choices to choose from for finish selections, asks for the client's input and encourages the client to participate in the decision making.  She provides honest feedback and expertise. I now enjoy my beautiful home.
I would hire Patti Marvitz again
  • Patti is accessible - at all times, accommodating, creative, friendly, sets high standards for herself and her sub contractors, utilizes only quality subs and quality products. She has extensive contacts, resources, and experiences from which to draw. She has a great eye for design in a variety of "genres" - Asian, traditional, vintage, contemporary, transitional, modern - and, of course, the eclectic in many of us! She respected the integrity of the home and worked to enhance it rather than replace it. I had two bathrooms completely remodeled, and built-ins to a bedroom and hall. She introduced many options along the way, held my hand when I needed it, and encouraged me to put my signature on the rooms. I respect her input when it comes to color, design, functionality, quality in craftmanship and products. But, most of all, she made the experience fun! She took the stress off by doing all of the managing of the project. Thanks, Patti!

  • Project, Vancouver WA: Gutted and remodeled master bathroom. Incorporated a zero clearance walk in shower. "Every worker Patti hired to work on the project was extremely competent and trust worthy.  Patti is a master interior designer as well as overseeing the project.  Her positive energy brightens the room
